Fishing the Grass Beds

Filed under: Everglades Fishing — Captain Ned Small @ 6:16 pm

We’ve been fishing the grass beds at high tide. There are some nice snook attacking mullet and whitebait right in the stems. It’s difficult fishing, the fish are selective and there is tons of bait to compete with. And you have to cast right into the grass.  Rich Small has landed three in the past three days. He might have gotten a few more except I insisted on hours of observing a school of tarpon we discovered in a shallow lagoon.
