Way Back Country
My e-mail address has changed the new address is, sightfish@embarqmail.com.
Now that the fall season is truly upon us, things are in transition, the snook are shifting around, trying to make up their minds about moving into the back and the reds are moving too, ‘they are where you find them.’ There have been giant tarpon on the outside, blitzing the mullet schools, they’re amazing to see but frustrating for a fly rod angler to get a fly to one due to the one million bazillion mullet that carpet the surface of coastal flats. We’ve just started fishing the waybackcountry, and we’re catching lots of two year old snook, but there are Big Ones back there too. Here’s a couple of nice ones we got this week. That’s my friend Captain Bill Blanton, and Terry Rusthoven from Grand Island, Nebraska.
